The Verzuz series is officially back — and it’s bringing two of hip-hop’s most legendary empires to the same stage. On October 25, 2025, Cash Money Records will go head-to-head with No Limit Records live at ComplexCon Las Vegas, marking the franchise’s first major return in over three years.
“One stage. Two legendary, iconic labels. History is about to be made,” Complex announced.
A historic clash for New Orleans hip-hop
Both labels came out of the streets of New Orleans in the 1990s — reshaping hip-hop through hustle, innovation, and unstoppable cultural influence.
Representing Cash Money, co-founders Birdman and Slim built one of the most successful record labels in music history. Their empire launched the careers of Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Juvenile, B.G., and Mannie Fresh, turning the label into a global powerhouse known for glossy production and street-driven authenticity.
Meanwhile, Master P’s No Limit Records carved its own legacy by redefining independence and ownership in rap. Home to Silkk the Shocker, C-Murder, Mia X, TRU, and Mystikal, No Limit sold over 100 million records and embodied the entrepreneurial spirit that fueled Southern hip-hop’s rise to dominance.
The return of a cultural phenomenon
This showdown marks the first Verzuz since Omarion vs. Mario in 2022. Originally launched by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland during the pandemic, Verzuz became a celebration of hip-hop legacy — blending nostalgia, performance, and friendly competition.
Now, with Cash Money and No Limit taking the stage, fans are calling it the most anticipated Verzuz yet.
