Mariah The Scientist and Young Thug have been making headlines over the past year, but recently, new details about their relationship seem to emerge almost daily, especially after a series of leaked phone calls surfaced from when the rapper was behind bars.
One recent leak jail call between Young Thug and another woman, who social investigators believe to be Cleopatra Dues. During the conversation, Thug was heard saying, “I’m happy I made you feel like that.” He then asked the woman, “When you planning on having kids… like what age?” to which she responded, “When you come home, I’ll have a kid.” Thug simply replied, “Bet,” appearing to agree.
Not long after the call went viral, fans noticed that Dues’ social media account was suddenly deactivated, fueling even more speculation. Internet sleuths later connected the dots, claiming that Dues is allegedly the same woman Mariah was involved in a physical altercation with at an Atlanta lounge earlier in 2024.
Another leaked phone call added even more drama, with Young Thug allegedly admitting to cheating on Mariah just days before his 2022 arrest. Following the leak, the rapper took to X to publicly apologize.
“My baby, I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through. U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work. U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace,” he wrote.
Mariah later responded subtly but through music. She posted lyrics from her song “Rainy Days” on her Instagram story, including the line: “Tell me ‘Love and hatred doesn’t coexist,’ surely I’ll reply, ‘That’s what resentment is.” She also highlighted another lyric from the track, “Naive, not ignorant,” adding a message of her own, saying she prays “for love instead of common sense.”
