A troubling new video has surfaced showing Young Thug using a walker while speaking to officers during his time behind bars — and the rapper claims his injuries came after being slammed and dragged by correctional officers.
The footage, reportedly captured from bodycam video during Thug’s prison stay, began circulating online this week. In the clip, the Atlanta rapper — who appears frail and unsteady — tells officers that he may have sprained his ankle following an alleged altercation involving two guards.
“One of them picked me up and slammed me,” Thug is heard saying. “Another one threw me over his shoulder and dragged me away.”
The disturbing moment shows officers leading the rapper to receive medical attention while he leans heavily on the walker for support.
Social Media Reacts to the Footage
The leaked clip quickly went viral, sparking outrage from fans and social media users who expressed concern over the rapper’s treatment while in custody.
“If they assaulted him to the point he needs a walker… that’s scary as hell,” one user wrote.
Another added, “This makes me feel for him for real. Jail really did a number on him. I’m glad he’s home.”
Others questioned the motives behind releasing such private material, saying, “The man is out. What’s the point of this? I’m tired of it.”
The footage has reignited discussions about prison abuse, inmate privacy, and media ethics, with many calling the leak “deeply invasive.”
Another Leak in a String of Controversies
This latest incident follows months of leaked jail phone calls from Young Thug’s incarceration — clips in which he was heard speaking about other major artists including Future, Drake, Lil Durk, and GloRilla. In one call, he also admitted to cheating on Mariah The Scientist, his longtime partner.
After his release, Thug publicly apologized to both Mariah and his peers — first on social media and later in an emotional track titled “Miss My Dogs,” which appears on his fourth studio album, UY Scuti.
Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding his leaked communications and footage, Young Thug has not publicly addressed this new video or the allegations of officer misconduct.
