Young Thug is shutting down claims that he snitched on YSL associate Peewee Roscoe after a leaked interrogation video sparked controversy online.
In the clip, Thugger can be heard mentioning Roscoe during questioning, which fueled speculation that he may have given information to prosecutors. But the rapper quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight:

he YSL RICO case has been plagued by accusations of snitching, especially after Gunna accepted an Alford plea in 2022. Many online accused him of cooperating with prosecutors, something both Gunna and his lawyer have consistently denied.
The speculation has strained Thug and Gunna’s once-tight relationship. When asked about their status, Thug admitted: “I know everybody wonders [what our relationship is like now]… I don’t know.”
Thug has also fueled the chatter himself. In a snippet posted to Instagram, he rapped: “Never associate with a rat / Go and get some money, get a pack.”
Meanwhile, Gunna’s former attorney Steve Sadow issued a lengthy statement defending his client:
- Gunna “did NOT cooperate, and did NOTHING and said NOTHING to cause harm to Thug’s case.”
- His Alford plea deal couldn’t be used against Thug at trial.
- He served 8 months before being released with a suspended sentence and no probation.
Sadow concluded by calling out “fake outrage,” insisting Gunna’s deal was simply a smart legal move, not cooperation.
As the YSL case drags on, the snitching narrative continues to shadow both artists, threatening friendships and reputations in one of hip-hop’s most high-profile trials.
