Cardi B is once again making headlines — this time for confronting radio host Angela Yee. The Bronx rapper took to Twitter Spaces this week to share that she personally called Yee after watching her recent Way Up With Angela Yee interview featuring blogger Armon Wiggins.
During the interview, Wiggins discussed the long-standing feud between Cardi and Nicki Minaj, and Cardi was far from pleased with how it was handled. According to her, Angela should have known better than to give a platform to someone who “doesn’t like” her.
“I told her, ‘Angela Yee, if you know that this guy don’t like me…’ And she was like, ‘I didn’t know that he doesn’t like you.’ I was like, ‘Yes, you know that he don’t like me. Everybody knows this,’” Cardi said in the Spaces rant captured by Glock Topickz on X. “Don’t have somebody that’s biased towards me, that calls me a b*tch out his mouth, that only says negative things about me.”
Cardi went on to explain that her anger wasn’t just about music industry politics. “When it comes to smoke, do your job, do your due diligence, and do your research yourself about what happened,” she said. “Don’t ask somebody that don’t like me about me, because this sht is more than rap beef. When my kids’ names are involved, you should fcking look up what happened.”
This latest confrontation comes amid renewed tension between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. The feud reignited last month following the release of Cardi’s sophomore album Am I The Drama?, which many fans interpreted as including subliminal shots at Nicki. The Queens rapper then threw shade on X, leading to a fiery back-and-forth that escalated quickly when both of their children were mentioned.
Nicki reportedly referred to Cardi’s daughter Kulture as “ugly,” prompting Cardi to respond harshly. “Btch fck that slow a** son that came out your p***y,” Cardi shot back. Both rappers later offered half-hearted apologies to one another’s kids — but it did little to cool things down.
For now, Cardi seems intent on setting boundaries not just with her rap rivals, but also with the media figures covering her. And if this latest outburst is any indication, she’s not afraid to make that call herself.
