Eminem has another reason to celebrate — he’s about to become a grandfather again. His adopted daughter, Alaina Scott, announced she’s expecting her first child with husband Matt Moeller, sharing the emotional news on Instagram on October 12.
In a touching post filled with warm photos of the couple, Alaina expressed her gratitude and excitement for the next chapter of their lives.
“THE BEST OF YOU + ME,” she began. “For months, I’ve carried a tiny heartbeat inside me, one that has already changed mine in every possible way. There’s something indescribable about knowing there’s a little life growing, dreaming, and becoming, all while you go about your day, whispering prayers and hopes only they can hear.”
She continued,
“I’ve never felt more grateful for this gift and to grow our family — something we’ve wanted for so long. Thank you God for this blessing. Baby M, we can’t wait to meet you, little one ❤️.”
The baby will mark Eminem’s second grandchild, following the birth of his biological daughter Hailie Jade’s first child, Elliot Marshall McClintock, earlier this year.
Friends and family flooded Alaina’s comments with love and excitement. Hailie Jade herself wrote:
“Sooo happy for you guys 🥹 can’t wait to be this little one’s auntie & Elliot is so excited to meet his cousin.”
Eminem’s brother, Nathan Kane Mathers, added,
“Congrats! I’m so excited for you guys! You’re gonna be great parents. Stop making me old lol.”
While Eminem hasn’t publicly commented yet, fans are already imagining how thrilled he must be to welcome another grandchild.
Last year, when Hailie announced her own pregnancy, 50 Cent told People that he expected Eminem to be a “great grandfather.”
“Oh man, he’ll be the greatest grandfather,” 50 said. “That grandkid is gonna say, ‘My granddaddy is still cool… He’s still the biggest rap artist in the world.’”
With two grandkids now on the way or already here, Slim Shady’s family tree just keeps growing — and so does the love surrounding it.
