Blueface isn’t wasting time making headlines after his release from Lancaster Prison. Days after regaining his freedom, the Los Angeles rapper has set his sights on a new opponent: YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
In his first post-release interview, Blueface sat down with fellow rapper DDG to discuss life behind bars, his newfound bulked-up physique, and his plans to enter the ring again. “I was eating mashed potatoes and oatmeal from commissary every day until I threw up,” he joked. “I had fades to give out, and the extra weight helped me land KOs.”
When DDG asked if he’d be willing to step back into the boxing world, Blueface didn’t hesitate — he called out Jake Paul directly. The Thotiana rapper referenced Paul’s canceled Netflix fight with Gervonta “Tank” Davis, which was scrapped after Davis faced new assault allegations from an ex-girlfriend. “Jake Paul,” Blueface said confidently, suggesting he could step in as a replacement.
Now sitting at around 225 pounds, Blueface said he’s ready to cut weight for the potential matchup. “I’ll meet him halfway,” he said, making it clear he’s serious about the fight.
This wouldn’t be Blueface’s first time in the ring. In 2021, he made his boxing debut at BKFC 19 in Florida, where he defeated TikTok star Kane Trujillo by unanimous decision. Though his boxing journey has been derailed by legal troubles — including a 2023 gym stabbing incident and multiple postponed fights — his hunger for competition hasn’t faded.
Now free and focused, Blueface seems determined to mix music, fame, and fighting once again. Whether Jake Paul takes the bait or not, the rapper’s latest move shows he’s not stepping quietly back into the spotlight — he’s swinging his way into it.
