P. Diddy has been under a barrage of criticism even more than he had faced before. With the Netflix documentary series, it has been evident, that even more so have gained an opinion about what he did or did not do and how guilty he is. One of the first quarrels he had with the documentary is that they used unseen footage in it that he said was used illegally. However, early on after P. Diddy and his legal team made public claims about the use of this to create a negative narrative and to show that he is going to sue against Netflix and anyone involved with the production of it. Even now, it has shown he is still upset and has made a lawsuit against Netflix and 50 Cent for $1 billion dollars
50 Cent has went on interviews to explain that he used the footage that he obtained all within legal means and recently while on the ““Sherri Shepherd Show” he admitted to her to having more. He says that it could be a possible new show to come from unreleased videos or to share them on you tube. Michael Oberlies, has addressed rumors of the footage being taken during a conflict of contracts but he claims it is due to his absence from work. He spoke about it on a recent Rolling Stone interview and said, ““For over two years, we have been diligently compiling a project centered around Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The footage in question was not authorized by me or anyone within the rightful channels handling his material. It was instead shared through a third party who temporarily filled in for me while I was out of state. This incident is unrelated to any alleged contract issues or payment disputes. The behavior of those involved reflects poorly on the standard of integrity that every storyteller should uphold. Utilizing footage meant for our project to forge an agenda outside our own signifies not just ethical breaches but also a disregard for our essential narrative.” Showing quite frankly that they did to some acclaim use it illegally and without proper permission as P. Diddy and team has said.
