DJ Akademiks is back stirring controversy — this time turning Megan Thee Stallion’s courtroom victory into a new angle for jokes, trolling, and legal threats.
During a livestream following Megan’s $75,000 defamation win against Milagro Gramz, Ak claimed that he now wants to sue Megan for emotional distress… because she called him “big.”
What started as a joke quickly grew into a semi-serious rant about legal precedent.
“We were in the process of preparing to file a lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion,” Ak said on stream. “Everything I’m saying here is facts… If Meg feels like she can sue because people make jokes at her expense, well that’s precedent.”
He went on to say that Megan’s past exchanges with him on social media caused him “a spiral into severe depression,” and that fat-shaming has followed him his whole career.
“She said something that sent me into severe depression. It cost me a sh*t ton of money. This is my time,” he added, mocking Megan’s reliance on legal strategy.
The Context: Megan’s Real Lawsuit
Megan sued blogger Milagro Gramz for defamation, accusing her of spreading false narratives about the 2020 Tory Lanez shooting and even posting deepfake videos of her. A federal jury sided with Megan, awarding her $75,000 for damages — though the final number still awaits formal judgment.
Her lawyer celebrated the decision, saying it reinforces “truth, accountability, and responsible commentary on social media.”
Akademiks, however, used the ruling as fuel for trolling. He joked that Megan’s win “opens the door” for him to get paid, too — even though Megan hasn’t defamed him or accused him of any criminal wrongdoing.
While some fans laughed along, others called the move classic Akademiks: a mix of provocation, satire, and calculated attention-seeking.
With Megan focused on cleaning up misinformation and Ak fixated on keeping his name in the conversation, one thing is certain: neither seems ready to back down anytime soon.
