DJ Akademiks fires back at Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team after his second deposition, accusing Roc Nation’s lawyers of trying to make him pay court costs.
DJ Akademiks is once again calling out Megan Thee Stallion’s camp — this time over what he claims was an attempt to make him pay for his own deposition. The media personality took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent his frustrations following his second round of questioning from Roc Nation’s attorneys in Megan’s ongoing defamation case against Milagro Gramz.
“Just did my second Roc Nation Meg Thee Stallion deposition,” Ak tweeted. “That law firm wasting Jay-Z money. This time they tried to act right — no more Nicki n Drake questions. Shout out to the Jersey federal judge keeping Roc Nation in line… they harassing real n****s. I believe Nicki.”
He went on to question the firm’s motives, writing, “It’s no way they think they getting millions from Milagro. So why spend hundreds of thousands to ask stupid questions bout other n****s? My thought — they got a multi-million budget for attorneys to bully anybody who speak against ‘em to try silence ‘em.”
Later, during a livestream shared on Akademiks TV, the blogger claimed Roc Nation’s lawyers tried to make him pay for the deposition itself. “Megan Thee Stallion and her team are so disgusting and desperate,” he said. “Roc Nation wanted me to pay for not answering a question. They’re like, ‘He’s wasting the court’s time.’ The court ain’t even address that. He’s not even in the case! He gave y’all seven hours of deposition. You really think you have a case to say that he should pay y’all?”
This comes after Ak’s earlier complaint about the first deposition, where he claimed lawyers were asking unrelated questions about Nicki Minaj and Drake. According to him, Roc Nation’s attorneys were pushing a “theory” that Drake, Nicki, and Tory Lanez were paying people to talk negatively about Megan and Roc Nation.
DJ Akademiks appears determined to continue fighting back publicly, suggesting that Megan’s team is using intimidation tactics to silence critics. Whether or not the court agrees remains to be seen — but as always, Ak isn’t holding his tongue.
