Kanye West and Candace Owens’ friendship appears to run deeper than most knew. During a recent YouTube livestream, Owens claimed that Kanye entrusted her with private information — and instructed her to release it if anything ever happens to him.
The outspoken political commentator, who has long defended the controversial rapper, dropped the bombshell while speaking to her followers.
“Kanye sent me all the messages of people who were threatening me. I have them all,” Owens said, as reported by XXL.
According to Owens, the messages involve unidentified individuals allegedly threatening Kanye’s life. She added that Ye told her to make those messages public if he were ever harmed. Owens also speculated that the same people threatening Kanye are linked to what she described as “the torture” of right-wing figure Charlie Kirk.
Owens went on to praise Kanye for “freeing himself” from industry control:
“Kanye said that in order to be free, you had to violate these contracts. You had to recognize that your voice is being controlled — and Kanye did just that. It was really an act of bravery to free himself.”
The pair have maintained a close relationship for years, with Owens often defending Ye amid public backlash and controversy. She even reaffirmed her loyalty to him in a recent interview with Jason Lee, citing a disturbing incident involving celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.
In 2022, Kanye shared what appeared to be text messages from Pasternak, allegedly threatening to have him institutionalized again if he didn’t comply. One of the messages reportedly read:
“I have you institutionalized again where they medicate the crap out of you, and you go back to Zombieland forever. Play dates with the kids just won’t be the same.”
While Owens’ latest claims haven’t been verified, they add a new layer to Kanye’s ongoing battles — both personal and public. Whether these alleged threats are real or exaggerated remains unclear, but one thing’s certain: Kanye West and Candace Owens’ alliance is built on deep, and potentially dangerous, trust.
