The wave of Young Thug jail call leaks continues — and the latest has fans stunned. In an audio clip circulating online via Kurrco, Thugger allegedly rants about Drake and his role in the ongoing feud with Metro Boomin.
The call references Metro’s 2022 HEROES & VILLAINS track “Trance,” which featured Travis Scott and Young Thug. At one point, Drake was also part of the record’s early version, but Metro ultimately cut him from the final release. According to Thug, the producer used his mother’s passing as an explanation but really just wanted full control of the tracklist.
The more shocking part came when Thug turned his focus to Drake. In the leaked audio, he allegedly questioned why his longtime collaborator hadn’t done more to help him during his incarceration.
“Drake, you Drake, go talk to the president. ‘Aye, man, let my little brother out. Go pardon him, go do something.’ Go talk to the president and get me out, show me that. Don’t call me talking about, ‘Fix something’ for you to have a song from a na. Man, ain’t nobody give a fk about no song.”*
Fans are split on how to interpret the comments. On one hand, Thug and Drake have been close for years, with Drake dedicating songs and public support to Thug throughout the YSL RICO trial. On the other, some hear frustration in Thug’s tone that his ally hasn’t leveraged his power to help more directly.
Still, it’s important to note that the clip remains unverified, and realistically, even Drake wouldn’t have the pull to secure a federal pardon.
As for Drake and Metro Boomin, their tension predates Kendrick Lamar’s explosive Not Like Us era, but the feud has only gotten louder since. With this leak, fans now wonder if Thug’s words could add even more fuel to an already heated rivalry.
For now, Thug remains embroiled in multiple controversies from his leaked calls, with shots at Future, Gunna, GloRilla, Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, and more already circulating. Whether he or Drake will address this directly remains to be seen.
