Kim Kardashian and Ray J have famously been in the headlines in the early 2000’s for one of the most famous sex scandals. The two were linked to each other from 2003 to 2006. When in 2007, vivid entertainment bought the video for $1 million dollars and released the tape. Immediately after Kim sued them for invasion of privacy and for illegal profits. There was much speculation behind how the sex tape was actually released and many thought if they happened to behind the leak. After the release of it, it created tension between the two and caused them to stop speaking.
Well recently, Kim and her manager and also mom, Kris Jenner filed a lawsuit against the reality star in October 2025. In it they claim that Ray J had made damning remarks against them and lead to defamation. In a Tubi documentary, “United States vs. Sean Combs”. Ray J claimed rackateering charges against the Kardashians and also on a livestream claimed that they had a Rico case against them and commenting, “The federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris and Kim is about to be crazy,I’m talking about, I’m on the news every day. I’ma say a lot of sh*t. Anybody that is cool with Kim, they need to tell her now, the feds is coming. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s worse than Diddy”.
Ray J has now a countersuit against this he filed for this month and in it he claims that the Kardashians discussing the sex tape on their reality tv show violated a 2021 settlement deal they had in place and suing them for $6 million dollars in damages for breach of contract.Also, saying that while they claimed the sex tape leaked, that indeed it was a ploy to launch Kim Kardashian into stardom. Kardashian’s attorney Alex Spiro had this to say, “After realizing he is losing the case and losing his way, this disjointed rambling distraction is not intimidating anyone. Ray J will lose this frivolous case too.”
