Ice Spice is opening up about her private life in a way fans rarely get to see. During a recent appearance on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast, the Bronx rapper revealed what it’s been like to share her relationship with New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner with the world.
Known for keeping her personal life low-key, Ice admitted it hasn’t been easy to keep her dating life separate from the spotlight. “I try to keep it private, but it’s just like whatever. I’ll try to keep it private, and then it’s like I’m at the grocery store, and then now it’s not private,” she explained.
When asked about confirming her relationship with Gardner, Ice admitted she did so herself. “Yeah, I did confirm that on my Instagram,” she said. “I didn’t think it would be such a big deal, but it really is a big deal.”
The “Deli” rapper admitted the reaction was overwhelming at first but quickly acknowledged why fans are so invested. “It is entertaining ‘cause when I was growing up, looking at people I looked up to, I would be all in they business, too. So, I get it. Like, I really do understand.”
The conversation also touched on Ice’s sexuality. Palmer suggested she didn’t need to openly share that she’s bisexual, to which Ice playfully responded, “I didn’t?” The moment sparked some laughs, especially when Palmer asked if she might be Ice’s type. Ice’s quick reply: “I think you are. Keke’s my type, guys.”
