Drake is keeping fans on their toes with the latest installment of his Iceman livestream series. On Thursday night, The Boy debuted episode three of the experimental stream — and used the moment to drop new music, including “Somebody Loves Me Pt. 2.”
The livestream featured Drake behind the wheel of a vintage sports car, paired with surreal visuals like a dining table emblazoned with the word “legacy” in red. As the imagery unfolded, unreleased tracks played in the background. When the episode wrapped, “Somebody Loves Me Pt. 2,” a Cash Cobain remix of his $ome $exy $ongs 4 U cut “Somebody Loves Me,” appeared on streaming services.
But that wasn’t all. Drake also teased several unreleased songs, including a collab with Yeat seemingly titled “Dog House” and another track fans are calling “That’s Just How I Feel.”
The Iceman series launched in July, when Drake surprised fans with “What Did I Miss?” A second episode later in the month dropped his Central Cee collaboration “Which One.” Now, with episode three, the project is shaping up to be one of his most unconventional rollouts yet.
All of this comes as Drake continues to battle through his high-profile legal war with Universal Music Group over claims tied to his beef with Kendrick Lamar. UMG lawyers recently called the suggestion that CEO Lucian Grainge had a hand in Kendrick’s diss track “Not Like Us” “absurd.”
Between courtroom drama and cryptic livestreams, Drake is keeping fans — and critics — watching closely.
