After years of public tension, lawsuits, and social media shots, Dame Dash says he’s ready to bury the hatchet with Cam’ron and 50 Cent once and for all. The Roc-A-Fella Records cofounder took to Instagram this week to share a heartfelt video calling for unity, admitting that the feud has gone on for far too long.
Dame Dash Reflects On Feud With Cam’ron
In the clip, Dame sits by the water as he speaks candidly about his issues with Cam. He acknowledges that much of the conflict stemmed from a lack of direct communication.
“Why am I beefing with Cam? And the only reason why is because I just never got to talk to him. He publicly said he wasn’t going to talk to me. But almost every OG from Harlem and everyone I respect is like, ‘Yo cut this sht. It’s embarrassing.’”*
Dame explained that his team had already spoken with Cam, opening the door to finally resolve things. “I just want to talk to him, and it’s over,” he said.
On Violence & Handling Business Differently
Dash also emphasized that violence is not the answer, saying he refuses to let disagreements spiral into physical confrontations.
“I can’t be violent and I won’t be violent, and I don’t want any of my friends to be violent. My job is to keep them out of jail. So the only way I can deal with things, to keep certain things out of the algorithm is to answer as soon as somebody says something. And my version of violence is just lawsuits.”
A Public Call To Cam’ron & 50 Cent
In his Instagram caption, Dame tagged Cam’ron, 50 Cent, and Detavio Samuels, urging them to show the world a new example of collaboration:
“Let’s show the world that Black people can work together challenge… I’m not doing this corny sht no more. I got work to do. Let’s just resolve this and move forward collectively. Let’s show the world that they can’t divide us over bulls**t. That jig is up #Checkmate.”*
A Push For Unity
For Dame, the message is clear: the feuds are finished. Instead of trading insults and lawsuits, he wants to focus on building, collaborating, and showing the next generation that unity is stronger than division.
Whether Cam’ron and 50 Cent respond remains to be seen, but Dash’s latest statement could mark the beginning of the end of one of Harlem’s messiest rap beef sagas.
