Blueface is home again. The Los Angeles rapper has been released from prison after spending almost two years behind bars. On Monday (Nov. 3), the 28-year-old artist took to Instagram to confirm his freedom, sharing a short video from home with the caption:
“Still that ni**a, two years later. On the dead homies.”
The clip quickly went viral, with fans and supporters flooding his comments to welcome him back.
Blueface’s release comes after months of speculation and hints from his family. His mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, had been teasing his return for weeks, even telling TMZ last month that he was nearing the end of his sentence and could be released ahead of his expected December parole date.
“I have the coming home party,” she said at the time. “Make sure you guys get your tickets for the celebrity Blueface coming home party. I’m going to be picking him up with his kids. His girlfriend got us a limo — I’m excited for new beginnings.”
On Sunday (Nov. 2), Karlissa shared a cryptic clip of someone lying under a blanket, which fans suspected was Blueface himself. When asked to confirm, she playfully told followers to subscribe to her Patreon for updates.
Blueface’s father also added to the buzz with a heartfelt Instagram post the same day, writing:
“Today is the end of a chapter in my family’s life. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new chapter. Can’t wait.”
Blueface’s legal troubles stem from a 2021 incident in which he assaulted a club bouncer in Las Vegas. He turned himself in last January for violating his probation related to that case and was sentenced to four years in prison in August 2023. After serving approximately 21 months, he was released on Monday.
With his freedom restored, fans are now wondering whether Blueface will return to music — or take time to rebuild his personal life after a turbulent few years in the spotlight.
