Tory Lanez Challenges Megan Thee Stallion’s Medical Records in Explosive Court Filing

Tory Lanez is escalating his legal battle from behind bars, accusing Megan Thee Stallion of committing insurance fraud as part of a new appellate filing tied to his 2022 shooting conviction.

According to newly filed court documents obtained by TMZ, Lanez and his legal team claim there were more than 60 errors in the medical evidence presented during his trial. One of the most striking allegations centers on a $118,000 insurance claim for foot surgery that Megan allegedly underwent following the 2020 incident.

Lanez’s attorneys argue that the charge is excessive, claiming the procedure lasted less than one minute. They further allege they have been unable to locate the surgeon listed on the claim — identified as Dr. Little — who notably did not testify during the trial.

Alleged Irregularities in Medical Records

Beyond the insurance claim, Lanez’s filing outlines what his team describes as widespread inconsistencies in Megan’s medical documentation. These include:

  • Allegedly forged signatures
  • Formatting discrepancies across official records
  • Conflicting dates and timestamps
  • Missing or unexplained documentation

The appeal also references a hospital security guard named Derek Cervantes, who reportedly stated he transferred “foreign bodies” recovered during treatment. This directly conflicts with trial testimony from detectives, who told jurors that no bullet fragments were recovered at the hospital.

Lanez’s attorneys argue these discrepancies undermine the credibility of the prosecution’s medical narrative and should have been disclosed and examined more closely during the original proceedings.

Lanez Maintains Innocence

The filing follows Lanez’s recent NBC News interview — his first on-camera appearance since incarceration — where he reiterated his innocence while serving a 10-year sentence. He was convicted of first-degree assault with a firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence, and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.

“I’ve never been violent toward a woman,” Lanez said. “I would never hit a woman, let alone shoot a woman.”

He also emphasized that his appeal is not meant as an attack on Megan personally.
“When I talk about my case, I don’t want it to be taken as me coming at her,” he said. “I’m just asking someone in the system to look at the evidence and ask if this was fair.”

A Steep Legal Climb Ahead

Despite the explosive nature of the claims, legal experts note that Lanez faces a steep uphill battle. His legal team must prove that the alleged errors and newly cited evidence are not only credible but material enough that they would have changed the jury’s verdict had they been introduced at trial.

For now, the accusations add another layer of controversy to a case that continues to divide public opinion — with the appeals process likely to stretch on for months, if not longer.
