They need the aid to be able to give to their households. With the actual date supposed to be November 1, as the start date for the proposed new cut as a reaction to the government shutdown. A new court order from U.S. district judge Jack McConnell ordering the administration to administer full payout of benefits to the families by the by this Friday.

The Presidents’ team then wen through the Circuit Court of Appeals to put a stop to this order as it states would cause a very big financial impact and they had proposed to only pay 65% if benefits using a contingency fund. However, the judge suggested they use revenue from Section 32 fund, that is normally for farm products but will now serve the purpose for SNAP to make sure people do not go hungry.

Judge McConnell even stating that, “While the President of the United States professes a commitment to helping those it serves, the government’s actions tell a different story.”

All this is a consequence from the government shutdown that began roughly around October 1 after not being able to come a decision on a temporary funding bill. Hopefully, there will be a resolution soon as we have only begun to see the domino effect of this.
