Vybz Kartel return has had fans elated to have the reggae superstar back to producing music for the whole world to enjoy. Vybz Kartel was sentenced back on April 3,2014 for a conviction of murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams who was beaten to death in his home for two missing firearms and his body was never found. Vybz Kartel was originally sentenced to life in prison but after finding out bribery had occurred in one of the jurors plotting to convict him, and he was then released on July 31,2024 when there was no retrial and overturning his original sentence. After serving ten years, many cheered and showed them waiting patiently for new hits or to hear from the artist again.
After just one day of his freeing, he released a mixtape titled,”First Week Out” and he even received a Lifetime Achievement for his music, called the MOBO Impact Award in London on February 2025. Signifying his significant impact on music and continuing to show all the continued recognition he would receive from his worldwide fans. Vybz Kartel going on his “Worl Boss Tour ’25” starting back in May starting in Guyana and Trinidad and in September marking the start of his European tour starting in London. Recently he performed in Toronto, Canada in the Scotiabank Arena for the first time and he sold out all three of his dates which were the 26,27 and added the third show on the 30th due to increased pressure to see him perform.

Drake who knowingly is very proud of his Canadian heritage, made sure he was there and since the tour is presented by his record label, “OVO” had front row experience and helped to arrange the whole event along with his team. The fellow artist surprised everyone on his first performance and the two who have always had a great relationship, he made sure to show his gratitude and had nothing but appreciation and calling out that he has always listened to his music and was inspired by it, as his music has had influence of dancehall as well. Drake saying, “We’ve been waiting to see you our whole lives.
