After years of speculation, Latto has officially confirmed she’s in a relationship with 21 Savage — and she isn’t hiding her feelings.
The Sugar Honey Iced Tea rapper was stopped by TMZ in New York City on Sept. 29, where she casually referred to the Atlanta rapper as her husband.
“I’m on my way to go have this dinner with my husband,” Latto said with a smile. When asked if she was tired of the questions, she doubled down enthusiastically: “My man, my man, my man, my man.”
Years of rumors finally put to rest
Latto and 21 Savage have been linked since December 2020, but both denied the speculation for years. In 2022, 21 even dismissed talk of dating Latto during a Clubhouse session, saying: “I don’t got a celebrity girlfriend.”
Still, the rumors never went away. Fans noticed a tattoo behind Latto’s ear reading “Shéyaa” — Savage’s birth name — in 2022, which fueled speculation. Later, Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee claimed Latto’s team asked him to remove a photo of the tattoo, even allegedly offering money for its removal.
Music and chemistry
The two also fueled suspicions through music. In March 2022, Latto released “Wheelie” featuring 21 Savage, just as her hit “Big Energy” was climbing the Billboard Hot 100. Their chemistry on the track only strengthened fans’ theories.
Latto on privacy
Even as rumors mounted, Latto often pushed back at public curiosity. In an August 2024 interview with Ebro Darden, she said:
“The internet don’t know a got-damn thing. Let’s start there. It ain’t really nobody’s business. Like, listen to the music and you’ll know what you need to know.”
Now, with her public declaration, Latto has finally confirmed what fans suspected all along: she and 21 Savage are officially an item.
