YNW Melly has been freed from charges brought against him. Just before he was going to be taken to trial for witness tampering it was dropped. From his double murder charge, for the murder of two best friends back in 2019, who were Christopher Thomas Jr. and Anthony Williams. He was accused of affecting a key witness in the case, but it was later let go by the court.
The retrial is set to start in January 2027. It has not yet been decided if the death penalty will be given to him under Florida penalty which is a possibility. It is a positive for this cased to be thrown out and the focus back on his sole case of murder. YNW Melly has continuously said that he has no involvement in the shootings.It will now be seen what is happening in the upcoming case.
