Paris Jackson is speaking out about her involvement in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael.
In a candid statement, the 26-year-old daughter of the late King of Pop revealed that she was initially approached to give feedback during the film’s development but claims her input was ultimately ignored.
Taking to Instagram, Paris addressed the situation directly, calling out actor Coleman Domingo, who previously stated she was helpful during the process. She clarified that this was untrue, explaining she has only met him twice and that none of her feedback was considered.
Paris went on to say the project is filled with inaccuracies about her father’s life and legacy. “The narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracies and a lot of full blown lies. At the end of the day that doesn’t really fly with me I don’t like dishonesty. I spoke up, I wasn’t heard, I f*cked off.’’
Despite her frustrations, Paris admitted that fans will likely still enjoy the film, even if it doesn’t fully reflect the truth. She encouraged viewers to take it for what it is, entertainment, noting that, at the end of the day, it’s a Hollywood production.
The biopic, starring Michael Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson, is being produced in collaboration with the late singer’s estate and is set to be released in April 2026.
