Muni Long, who is a songwriter and singer, most famously known for her song “Made for Me” and co writing the song by Rihanna, “California King Bed”. She is now in the spotlight for many saying she is ridiculing Mariah Carey. This week to promote her new single, “Delulu” she posted a parody skit and has a woman acting very stuck up and snooty, and saying she doesn’t want others to sing her songs. Many think they referred back to an interview that Mariah Carey had done with GQ in September 2025, stating that “I just don’t like people doing my songs,” and it also referred to Muni Long’s cover of “We Belong Together”
During the skit, Muni long was making comments such as “The Diva!? My cute lil number?” and “Maybe I can come around to people singing my songs if this who singing it!”. However, she also replied back to the comments and references to the possible ridcule she faced from the internet. In an instagram story she wrote, “Y’all don’t be delulu. I would never disrespect Queen Mariah… forever a Lamb,” she wrote, emphasizing that the entire bit was part of a comedic rollout — not a diss.” No comment has been made from Mariah Carey about the skit.
