Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing legal battle with Texas blogger Milagro “Milagro Gramz” Cooper has taken a major turn, with the Houston rapper now pushing for DJ Akademiks to face further questioning in court.
Megan’s Lawsuit Against Milagro Gramz
The lawsuit, first filed in 2024, accuses Gramz of deliberately spreading false and damaging narratives about Megan on social media in connection with Tory Lanez, who is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan in 2020.
According to Megan’s legal team, Gramz was financially rewarded to promote misleading stories and to run an online campaign coordinated with Lanez. At the center of the case is a confidential forensic report tied to the gun used in the shooting. The document was under court seal and not meant for public release, yet surfaced online in 2022 — casting doubt on Megan’s account.
DJ Akademiks Under Pressure
Megan’s attorneys argue that DJ Akademiks (real name Livingston Allen) also played a role in sharing the sealed report, helping amplify the narrative against her. Akademiks was questioned on August 22, but according to court filings, his testimony was described as “limited.”
Instead of revealing how the document came into his possession, Akademiks invoked journalistic protections, claiming his sources are confidential. He reportedly told lawyers he would “never reveal” who provided him with the material unless a judge ordered him to.
Megan’s Legal Team Pushes Back
Now, Megan’s lawyers are seeking a court order in New Jersey to force Akademiks to provide further testimony. They argue that uncovering how the sealed forensic report made its way from the legal system to social media is key to proving their claims against Gramz.
As of now, the court has not ruled on whether Akademiks will be compelled to disclose additional details, leaving the issue unresolved.
This latest development adds another layer to Megan’s long-running battle to clear her name and hold accountable those who, she says, worked to discredit her after the 2020 shooting.
