Diddy Scores Another Legal Victory As Sexual Assault Lawsuit Dismissed

Diddy just notched another win in his ongoing string of legal battles. A New York judge has officially tossed out a sexual assault lawsuit filed against the Bad Boy mogul earlier this year.

The case stemmed from allegations made by a man identified as John Doe, who claimed Diddy drugged and assaulted him inside a nightclub back in 2015. Doe, who was 23 at the time, alleged he was given a drink, lost consciousness, and woke up to “unwanted sexual contact.” His suit also accused Diddy of threatening his career if he resisted.

But according to TMZ, the judge ruled the lawsuit was filed too late. At the time of the alleged incident, New York had a five-year statute of limitations for such cases. While the law was updated in 2019 to extend that timeline to 20 years, the court ruled that it does not apply retroactively. As a result, the entire case — including claims against Bad Boy Entertainment and Combs Enterprises — was dismissed.

Another “W” For Diddy

This marks another civil lawsuit dismissal in Diddy’s favor. In recent months, he’s racked up several courtroom victories as judges tossed or narrowed down cases accusing him of sexual misconduct.

But Federal Sentencing Still Looms

Despite these civil wins, Diddy’s legal troubles aren’t over. The music mogul remains behind bars awaiting sentencing in his federal criminal case. While he was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, prosecutors secured convictions on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

A judge has already denied Diddy’s bail request, labeling him a “danger to the community.” His federal sentencing date is set for October 3, 2025 — a moment that could determine the rest of his future.
