Delonte West was taken in custody for an apparent robbery he was involved in. He is a former basketball player that played for the Celtics. The former NBA player was struggling with his sobriety but seemed to be doing better after being in a rehab facility. He was arrested in Virginia on robbery and assault on December 21, which the victim alleged took place on Richmond Highway where she was hit and property taken.
Delonte’s attorney, Brandon R. Sloane , says this is helping wanting to stay on the clear recovery. He commented, “I am proud of Delonte as he has used this process to seek out help and been released on bond to a treatment facility,” Sloane shared, adding that the team is confident the case will show “things not being as they initially appear.” This has occurred only after in November he was found drunk. Hopefully this will help to keep Delonte West on the correct road to recovery for him.
