Cardi B has publicly apologized to Latto after a leaked phone call captured her throwing shade while threatening Ice Spice during a heated rant.
How it started
The drama unfolded late Monday night (Sept. 29) into Tuesday morning as Cardi and Nicki Minaj were going back-and-forth in their latest Twitter feud. In the middle of it, JT jumped in — and escalated the situation by leaking a recorded phone call of Cardi furiously cursing out Ice Spice’s team.
During the call, Cardi repeatedly invoked Latto’s name as she threatened Ice Spice:
“I’mma show ya’ll. I’m not Latto. I’mma beat her the fk up. You think I’m fkin’ py a Latto?”*
The comments seemed to reference how Latto previously handled her feud with Ice Spice — choosing to trade lyrical disses instead of physical altercations. That beef eventually ended when Latto and Ice Spice squashed things in September 2025 with their surprise collab “Gyatt.”
Cardi issues apology
After the call leaked, Cardi quickly clarified that she meant no disrespect toward Latto, admitting she got carried away in the moment:
“I was ranting and hot at the moment but I f**k with Latto HEAVY!! I respect everything about her, including her team, that’s so sweet.. AND NOPE! I’m not too prideful to apologize to somebody I really respect, so this my public apology, and now ima privately buy her a bag.”
Timeline unclear
It’s not confirmed when the call was recorded, though Cardi’s reference to her Cash Cobain collab from her album Am I the Drama suggests the audio was recent. Either way, her apology is the latest twist in a chaotic week of beefs, leaks, and diss exchanges dominating the hip-hop conversation.
