Cardi B has revealed that she is expecting her fourth child, confirming weeks of speculation about her personal life. In an exclusive interview on CBS Mornings Wednesday (Sept. 17), the Grammy-winning rapper announced that she and her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, are preparing to welcome their first child together.
The baby is due before Cardi’s first-ever headlining arena tour, “Little Miss Drama,” which kicks off in February 2026.

At 32 years old, Cardi says she feels stronger than ever despite the challenges of releasing new music, preparing for motherhood again, and navigating public scrutiny.
“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” Cardi shared. “Me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”
The Bronx superstar also revealed that Diggs has been a source of stability and comfort during this time.
“He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” she said. “Two weeks ago I was literally having a panic attack. I was crying and crying, just getting really nervous with the whole album rollout… People were coming at me very hard. Sometimes people love you, people hate you. And people were just saying very mean things about me.”
Cardi B On Harsh Criticism & The Pressure of Music Rollouts
Cardi admitted that harsh criticism often makes her hesitate when it comes to releasing music.
“This is why I don’t put music out sometimes, because this is my art and something I put a lot of love and time into. And when people just rip it apart, it crushes you,” she explained.
Still, Diggs’ support has been key in helping her push forward.
“He makes me feel very confident… like I could take over the world,” Cardi said, adding that Diggs once told her: “Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you.”
A New Album, A New Chapter
Cardi B’s sophomore album, “Am I The Drama?”, arrives this Friday (Sept. 19), more than seven years after her blockbuster debut Invasion of Privacy. The new project includes a track called “Safe” that was inspired by her relationship with Diggs.
She revealed that she waited to announce her pregnancy until she was able to “close some deals first” and jokingly admitted she still hasn’t told her parents yet.
With her signature humor, Cardi also plugged her new album:
“Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff. I told you. Now go support my album, cause I’m a mother of four now.”

This new baby will be Cardi’s fourth child, following the three she shares with rapper Offset, from whom she filed for divorce last year. Despite her initial reluctance to fall in love again, she says Diggs changed her perspective.
