Joe Budden Finally Speaks On Melyssa Ford Exit From His Podcast

Joe Budden had mentioned last time on his episode about perhaps some of what led and clarified why Melyssa Ford left his podcast. While he actually never made concrete facts about it, he did confirm she did leave his podcast, “the Joe Budden Podcast”. When he appeared on Jim Jones podcast, “Artist 2 Artist” he opened up about the subject and rumors concerning his old co host. He said, “I didn’t do a swap”, for Mona Love, who is one of the newest members of the podcast.

Joe Budden went on to say about the ordeal, “Melyssa stepped away and Mel was negotiating for quite some time,” he explained. “Shout out to Melyssa. We love her.” Showing much praise for his former co host and respect for their time and work together. Melyssa Ford has not explicitly said why she chose to leave the show, but she has also said before she did not like the atmosphere of the male presence around her. She also opened up on her own podcast, “Hot and Bothered” to Charlamagne the Good, she said “I’ve had my own experiences being around a certain group of men who have exhibited groupthink. And that groupthink tends to lean very misogynistically. It has an effect on you as somebody who is just kind of absorbing it, simply just because I’m a woman and I’m the woman in the room.” Explaining that the views and narrow ways of how some may think, specifically men is harmful and can do damage to the women in a position such as this. Adding to it more of how it can be mostly be male dominated in what men may think or smart remarks concerning other women in certain life events. Although it not has been explicitly labeled as the reason for the departure, it has fans wondering about this and Joe Budden has not touched this subject either.
