Nicki Minaj has had her fair share of disagreement and social media scandals. Now another one has began with SZA. It all began on July 15, after Nicki Minaj publicly accused Terrence “Punch” Henderson of tormenting her for not going forward with a business proposal he suggested for her back in 2012. After tweeting about the situation then SZA posted about mercury retrograde and wrting, “to not take the bait”. Nicki Minaj took this as a slight jab at her and started to write tweets towards SZA which in turn started an online argument.
Since then SZA and Nicki Miinaj have not had any interaction. When asked about the whole inciden during her GQ interview, SZA was still truly shocked as to why and what happened with an argument that was started by Nicki Minaj for no apparent reason. In true SZA form she stayed out of the drama and focused on her career and in private. SZA did have this to say on the ordeal, and since so many feuds have started from Nicki Minaj’s attacks, she did not hold back her feelings. SZA states, “I’m a grown-up for real, I’m trying to biohack my health and get my cortisol levels in check and make the best album I’ve ever made, see my grandma before she get out of here type sh*t. Keep my parents’ health in check, and tap in and see all my friends fulfilled. Like, how can we build together as women? What’s our life plan when we’re moving forward? Real n**** sh*t. Not like, ‘Oh, I’m about to crash out.’ It’s more like, ‘No, it’s time for life to be built.'”
She also had this to say in her defense, as she says “Nicki. You absolutely know my music and what I contribute cause you’ve asked for features twice to no response. In addition to rapping my lyrics on feeling myself ‘Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo?’ Lol ur having a moment ..im not sure why but be blessed.” With SZA coming to her own senses but not without giving Nicki Minaj a piece of her mind and clearly not wanting to engage with this type of conflict and not have this type of energy in her life.
