Flint, Michigan native Rio Da Yung OG just dropped his long-awaited album F.L.I.N.T (Feeling Like I’m Not Through). Known for his raw delivery and unfiltered storytelling, the rapper has become a key figure in the Flint and Detroit rap scenes, using his platform to depict the harsh realities of street life in his hometown.

With the newest album underscoring this authenticity, the project is also deeply personal for Rio, serving as both a love letter to his city and a thank-you to the fans who have stood by him through his journey.

In early July 2025, Rio was released from house arrest after serving over three years in federal prison, using the album as both a comeback and a statement that he’s just getting started.

Alongside the release of the 20-track project, he also dropped five music videos for songs featured on the album, including “Ask Jay,” “Back Rubbed,” “Different Music,” “Rich Regardless” with YN Jay, and “Ghetto Star” with STAR BANDZ.

The album’s release coincided with Flint Day, a celebration in Flint, Michigan, making the project’s themes and messages even more impactful. The rapper was also honored by the city with an official proclamation recognizing his cultural impact. Rio Da Yung OG reminds listeners that it’s more than just music, it’s about the message and the impact, especially in his new album F.L.I.N.T. (Feeling Like I’m Not Through).
