BIA is keeping her focus on the music — not the drama. The “Whole Lotta Money” rapper recently stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss her new album BIANCA and the ongoing tension with Cardi B, who appeared to throw shots her way on “Pretty & Petty.”
While fans have been waiting for BIA to fire back, she made it clear that a response isn’t coming anytime soon.
“This isn’t even about her, this is really about real artists,” BIA said, per Complex. “Like, the artists that get up and go to the studio and care about the creative and do their work and have limited resources. I’m speaking for them. This is not even about her anymore. I’m anti-machine.”
The Massachusetts native went on to explain that engaging in a back-and-forth with Cardi would take away from the message she’s trying to push with her new project.
“I would be doing a disservice to myself with everything I’ve put into this album, making this about her,” she continued. “I could drop something at any time — that came a year ago. I have so much more importance in my message and what I’m here for than rap beef.”
BIA also pointed out that she’s been in the game for over a decade without getting tangled in rap feuds — and that’s something she’s proud of.
“I’ve been out for over 10 years and I’ve never gotten into a rap beef. That says a lot about me,” she said. “I have great relationships in this business because I carry myself a certain way. Why would I ruin that?”
Her comments arrive shortly after Cardi B revealed she purposely didn’t release the “Pretty & Petty” music video to avoid “looking like a bully” toward BIA on her album release day.
While the tension between the two continues to stir online, BIA’s message is clear — she’s prioritizing longevity, artistry, and purpose over pettiness.
“I can address it anytime,” she said confidently. “But I’m just here for a bigger mission right now.”
