Cardi B has officially dropped her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, and it’s already sparking major conversations. While the project showcases vulnerability on tracks like Safe featuring Kehlani, and emotional depth on Man Of Your Word, it’s the fiery diss track Pretty & Petty that’s dominating headlines.
On the track, Cardi goes straight at Bia, reigniting their feud from last year. She tears into her rap rival with lines like:
“Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head / Bow, I’m dead / That melatonin flow puttin’ us to bed / I’m doing you a favor, Epic, run me my bread.”
The diss comes after their beef first exploded in June 2024, when Bia accused Cardi of cheating on Offset. Bia escalated things by releasing a diss track where she insulted Cardi’s appearance and even mentioned her children by name — a move Cardi says crossed the line.
In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Cardi explained exactly why she chose to fire back so brutally on Pretty & Petty.
“You mentioned my kids tryna be cute,” Cardi said. “She did her little diss and it was trash… I could’ve left it at that, but everything on social media is gonna be seen. When my kids grow up one day and they see that you mentioned them, they’re gonna ask me, ‘So what you said? What you did?’ I’m not gonna tell my kids, ‘I felt like she took the high road.’ Nah, I’m gonna be like, ‘You see how I violated?’”
Cardi made it clear that her kids are off-limits, and any artist who crosses that boundary shouldn’t expect mercy. As Am I The Drama? continues to roll out, Pretty & Petty is already being hailed as one of the Bronx rapper’s most savage tracks yet.
