Cardi B is celebrating her big courtroom victory in true Cardi fashion — with a bold TikTok teaser for new music.
Just hours after being cleared in a $24 million assault lawsuit filed by former security guard Emani Ellis, Cardi hit TikTok to share a playful video. Wearing the same polka-dot outfit she sported in court, she danced to a new track — reportedly titled “Bodega Baddie” — before cutting to clips of herself pantless, twerking, and flipping off the camera.
She captioned the video: “Walking out of court likeeee. #BodegaBaddie.”
The track is set to appear on her upcoming sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, arriving September 19. The album marks Cardi’s long-awaited follow-up to her Grammy-winning 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy. Recent singles like “Outside” and previews of “Imaginary Playerz” have already given fans a taste of what’s to come.
Cardi’s celebratory post follows her decisive courtroom win. Ellis accused her of assault during a 2018 Beverly Hills doctor’s visit while pregnant with Kulture, claiming she was scratched, spat on, and insulted. Cardi denied all allegations, and the jury delivered a unanimous verdict in her favor.
Outside court, Cardi thanked jurors, the judge, and the press, before warning against future frivolous lawsuits: “I swear to God, I did not touch that woman… The next person that tries to do a frivolous lawsuit against me, I’m going to countersue and make you pay.”
Now, with the case behind her and a new album just weeks away, Cardi is shifting focus back to music — and her fans are eating it up.
