6ix9ine is taking aim at Young Thug and the rap community after the recent leak of Thug’s interrogation video mentioning YSL associate Peewee Roscoe. The rainbow-haired rapper — who was ostracized from hip-hop after cooperating in his Nine Trey Bloods RICO case — says Thugger deserves the same treatment he got.
On Friday (Aug. 29), 6ix9ine lit up Instagram Stories, accusing fans and rappers of hypocrisy:
“I never told on my friends. Why everybody so quiet? When the songs coming out calling ya man Spider a rat?”
He tagged Lil Baby, Future, and 21 Savage, pressing them on why they haven’t spoken out. He added:
“I DID IT AND WHAT. YOUNG THUG SAID to THE POLICE: Take my number. CALL ME. Just don’t tell nobody you got my number. HOW YOU GOING TO DEFEND THAT?”
The comments sparked debate across social media, with many pointing out how 6ix9ine was blackballed and labeled a “rat” by the culture, while Thug’s interrogation leak has been met with more silence and mixed reactions.
Meanwhile, Thug has been criticized for blasting other alleged cooperators like Gunna, while defending his brother Unfoonk, who also took a plea. Thug explained online: “My brother would’ve rode the whole trip out but when them guys took the plea I told my brada to take it too… #freeunfoonk.” Still, leaked clips seem to complicate that narrative.
As the YSL RICO case drags on, the snitching discourse has become messier than ever. With 6ix9ine chiming in, the debate over loyalty, plea deals, and street codes in hip-hop isn’t slowing down — and fans are left questioning just how consistent the culture really is.
