Earlier this week music mogul, businesswoman, and all-around phenomenon Rihanna was spotted sporting a dress with the words "I'm retiring" written on it. This quickly sent social media, as well as all her fans into a frenzy! Rihanna, who hasn't released a new album in eight years has had her music lovers on edge about new album. Over the last couple of years, she's hinted at new music on the way, however, no release date has been confirmed. Most would say, it's because the mogul has been busy launching all-inclusive businesses. Over the last couple of years, the artist has launched Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, SavageXFenty, Fenty(FEИTY), and most recently Fenty Hair!
After confirming the launch of her new business, Rihanna was spotted wearing her retirement shirt dress. This led many to believe the singer was officially leaving music and simply focusing on her flourishing business ventures; however, in an interview with EXTRA during the launch of Fenty Hair, Rihanna clarified that she is not retiring any time soon. When asked about the particular outfit, she stated jokingly, "Wait for the I quit t-shirt!" Then followed up with, "That was just me looking into the future. I'm not retired. I just like that dress, I got it as a gift and I loved it shout out to Conner Ives. I'm not retired. I'm just retired from dressing up. It's a lot of effort."
Well there you have it, Rihanna has not left the music industry yet and we can all go back to patiently waiting for the arrival of her new album. In the meantime, the Rihanna Reign continues to build.
