French Montana Drops 'Mac & Cheese 5' f/ Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, JID, and Many More.

During the recent weeks, the Moroccan-born rapper has been on a spree, releasing a consistent flow of tracks and videos to support Mac & Cheese 5—the conclusive chapter of his much-loved mixtape series that commenced nearly 15 years ago. This release boasts double appearances by both Kanye West and Rick Ross, alongside a lineup featuring Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, JID, Lil Baby, Meek Mill, Westside Gunn, Bryson Tiller, SAINt JHN, Buju Banton, Jenn Carter, Kylie Richh, Mikky Ekko, Jeremih, 41, and Amber Run.

French confirmed the release toward the end of November with a visual teaser and the initial drop date.

"Mac n cheese 5 january 5th," he wrote alongside the teaser. "LETS FINISH WHAT WE STARTED. This one for the books!"

Predictably, French's announcement ignited excitement among his fanbase. However, this excitement quickly turned to disappointment once French confirmed the tape's one-month delay. He shared the news in a December 30 Instagram post, also disclosing the involvement of Baby.

Following that, French has persistently fueled anticipation by releasing a series of teasers that offer further insight into his plans. Most notably, these teasers predominantly featured illustrations of a macaroni and cheese box adorned with the images of the other featured artists.

Kanye makes his mark with dual appearances on "Where They At" and "Stand United," while Rozay's presence graces "Splash Brothers" and "Millionaire Row." Notably, French had previously teased a tracklist that included Drake, Future, and other artists absent from the final lineup.

Additionally, Montana's track "Dirty Bronx" has been given the video treatment, brought to life by Kid Art. Fans can anticipate the cinematic visual premiering Friday afternoon.

The first four Mac & Cheese tapes made waves between 2009 and 2016. French delved into the fifth installment during a November episode of Fame & Flavor with Cugine, where he also delved into the origins of his entertainment company's name.

"How'd you come up with the name Coke Boyz?" the host inquired.

"Coke Boyz stands for 'Creation of Kings Everywhere,'" French replied.

Cugine, somewhat incredulously, quipped, "Are you sure it's not farina, farina?" with a nose-scratching gesture. French chuckled at the jest and reaffirmed that wasn't the case.

"No one's getting indicted here," Cugine added.

Mac & Cheese 5 is available for streaming now on Apple Music and Spotify.

This project arrives over a year after French dropped Coke Boys 6 alongside DJ Drama. As part of the Gangsta Grillz mixtape series, CB6 was packed with features, boasting appearances from Chinx, ASAP Rocky, Benny the Butcher, Jeremih, Max B, Kodak Black, and Nav.
